Howdy!!! First blog post here... like first blog post EVER! So I thought I would just tell you a little about myself and how it all started!
My name is Michelle Burdick and I proudly own Burd House Photography. Born and raised in the great state of Texas, my interest for capturing images began when I found a disposable camera at a young age. Needless to say those images weren't very good but passion and practice made me better. In high school, I worked at a local photography studio while my images for the year book received recognition at the state level. My love of photography continued to grow even when I left for college so I worked at another local studio while earning my bachelors degree from Texas A&M University (Whoop!).
I am now happily married to my college sweetheart and wonderful husband, Ryan, and our little family consists of two crazy furbabies named Racs and Oakley. They gave me the love and support I needed to start a dream that I've had since I was a child, Burd House Photography.

HOWEVER...we're currently in limbo. My husband just graduated from Texas A&M too (Whoop!) and we sold our house in College Station without knowing where his career would take us. So we're in the country now! We're living with his parents on a ranch in a little town called Smithville (it's where they filmed 'Hope Floats' with Sandra Bullock) while we figure out what his first major career move should be. With that being said, I'm willing to travel wherever family is, and we have a lot of family!
